The route
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to the Masai Mara
Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the morning. Drive down the Great Rift Valley escarpment with a photo stop, then continue to the Masai Mara for lunch. Afternoon game drive until sunset.
Day 2 Full day in the Mara
A full day of game drives across the reserve, with a picnic lunch near the Mara River. In migration season (roughly July to October) your guide positions you near the crossing points.
Day 3 Maasai village and return to Nairobi
Early breakfast, then visit a Maasai village on the edge of the reserve to see daily life and traditional dancing. Drive back to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon for drop-off.
