The route
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi to Ol Pejeta
Drive north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Afternoon game drive with a stop at the northern white rhino enclosure.
Day 2 Full day in Ol Pejeta
Morning and afternoon game drives with a midday visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and the ranger dogs exhibition.
Day 3 Ol Pejeta to Samburu
Cross the equator into Kenya's dry north. Afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro river among doum palms.
Day 4 Full day in Samburu
Morning and afternoon drives for the Samburu specials — Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and beisa oryx.
Day 5 Samburu to Nairobi
Early game drive, then the long scenic drive back south to Nairobi for drop-off.
